Coming to an end

I only have a couple more days left in africa. My time here has been amazing. I have made a lot of new friendships and seen God in a whole new way! I am very sad to have to leave this place but I hope i will return back here soon. I just have to give alot of credit to the bo'ma ( house mothers) who take care of each and every child likes its there own and then have to give them up when they get adapted.  Also even the worst when they pass away.  Every house mother has a spot for there child in there heart and after seeing how hard it was for one of the house mothers to say good bye to the little one who passed away just showed me how much they go thorugh and how theses kids are theres. Saying good bye to all the kids is going to be hard as i felt like the proud mom to some of them!

Bryan Laury and I will be leaving Monday morning/ early afternoon sometime and there is going to be a march going on for the strike. Shouldnt be Violent but please pray for safe travels for us to Jo Berg and then tuesday we are going to a lion park in the morning and then at night My flight takes offf at 8:20 so please pray for safe travles as I will be traveling back to the states!
Thanks to everyone who has helped make this trip possible for me and I cant wait to show everyone pictures and tell them the amazing stories!

Home!

My time at Beautiful Gate is sadly nearing an end. The past couple weeks have been an eye opening experience and i loved every mintue of it.  I feel like the proud mother sending my preschooler off to school, taking there first day of school picture. Getting kisses from them before they walk out the door and then the smile and wave as they walk out!  Beautful Gate will now forever hold a spot in my heart and so will every child here!  From just playing with the children to going to a funeral God has shown me soo much more to life. Every child here has a story and only god knows what is in store for them. Sometimes i wonder and ask god why. why did the children have to go through this they have done nothing wrong. But i have learned that god is in control and has everthing planned out and im putting all my trust in him!

Well I guess its time for another post.  During the last week alot of the kids at BG got the flu or somekind of bug that was going around.  Not fun to clean up!   That def. made me never want to have my own kids!! SOO GROSS!!!  

Anita and I helped one of the office guys go through the shipment and inventory what all came in the boxes. Anita and I laughed soo hard and never thought John Deer made so many PINK baby outfits!!

We also got to ride in the Geurinks new car ( if they buy it, which i think they will)  friday. Which I can just say was the biggest adventure every.  Got in the car to leave and there was a dead battery  so we had to push start it. Once we were all in Bryan thinks that he big and tough in his new tank so he doesnt think he needs to slow down going over speed bumps or pot holes.  Lets jsut say it was a fun and scary adventure all in one.

This week I found out the stories of a couple of my "favorite" lil kids. ( even through its hard to have favorites when they are all adorable)  Our newest little boy in my house is around 3 months and was found outside his village alone and had no clothes on.  Might i add that that night was one of the coldest nights!!  Another little boy who was here b4 me was actually found outside in the desert alone and the sad part is an animal got to his face b4 anyone could find him and he lost part of his lips and nose.  Still the cutiest thing, but thinking about all the surgerys he will have to go through when he gets older breaks your heart!  One of the boys that came the same week I got here was found in his house alone.   No one knows how long he was actually there alone with no food or water.

FEAR

The thing I have been fearing the most and hoping didnt happen while I was here did. One of the lil babys lost her battle here on earth and his now being held by our lord and savior. She has been in and out of the hostipal with different health problems, with pneumonia, TB and problomes with HIV.   Her name will now be added to the memioral wall here and she will never be forgeten.

We are nearer to Him for this.

I GOT TO SEE MY FIRST ADOPTION TODAY!!  It is such a blessing to see the new family meet the new child! I loved watched the older sister bond with her new brother. Watching her hold her baby brother with a HUGE smile makes you feel great. 

While I was during dishes today we got a new girl I would guess around 3-4.  She is very quite and shy but came over quickly held my hand. So we walked around for a lil bit and got all the other kids in bed for nap time and then i got her some lunch and she gave me the happiest look. So we went outside and ate lunch. 
So sad to keep watching new keeps come in but id rather know they are off the streets now and are getting the right food and being bathed. 
Please keep praying for all the children here
Please pray that they will all be placed with a loving family
Pray that it doesnt take to long for all the paper work for the children that are just waiting to meet there new mommys and daddys.

well today didnt start off as planed, i might have slept in a lil to late to make it to church today. : ( oops but eli forgive me and said sometime stuff doesnt go as planned! ( gotta love kids) so this afernoon I took my daily nap out in the sun! Watched the neighbor kids play soccer and best of all  made bryan Chocolate. chip cookies : ) Its our lil taste of home : )
Good news Geurinks stuff came in so bryan has to travel and go get it.

So please for safe travel as he leaves tomorrow and wont get home until wed.
Pray for all the kids here and hope that they get united with a loving family

Cant believe its already friday!! The week went so fast. Well he had a family come and stay with us for the week and the mom painted in the preschool and the dad planted a garden and the 2 kids helped and played with the kids. This weekend we are going to spurs for lunch to celebrate birthdays.  Might i add they have the best burgers : )

Guess its time for another update.

Today was beautiful out. Anatia and I actually took some of the lil babies outside and played with them on a blanket. Then the house mothers started taking them out and leaving them with us soo we ended up with out 10 babies. trying to give them all bottles at the same time is not easy. then you have ones crawlin ontop of others poking eachother in the eye!! but it was alot of fun being able to bond with children not from my house.

Sat and Sunday have been some very releaxing days! Sat we went into town to buy some grocerys and go shoping.  After we got home I attempted to watch house in the living room but didnt take long for mercy to ask to watch a movie with her. So we changed it and watched Willy Wonka : ) Shorlty after that movie started faith and eli climbed up and surrounded us. Then it was time to send the kids to bed so the adults could watch the second pirates movie : ) then off to bed

Church was early this morning as we had to leave the house at 7:30 so laury could be to church early to practice for praise team.  After church we got him to a "mess" leaks in the roof and puddles under the sink. Frozen pipes?? ughhh oh well its africa what do you expect.  Mercy,Faith and I were just sitting outside painting our nails "girl time" and pretty soon it will prolly be a dinner and then Pirates 3 : )

what a dayy...

Well today has been been a a day of celebrating all the think God does.  The day started off "normal" and then at 1 ( while the kids were sleeping) we go to celebrate the life of one of the play ground helpers at beautiful gate.  She passed away on June 16 due to illiness.  It was very cool hearing them sing in there language.  While people were sharing there stories about her someone said. We must keep God like a Key.  Never lose him because if we do we dont get to share are whole life with him. Just like a key if you lose it you cant get into your room. 

After that celebration I got to see one of my favorite lil girls be reunited with her mother.  Yet it is a very scary and we hope all goes with her and her mother.  The mother is very young and we hope she can take good care of her daughter.  So much prayers are needed with that family.  Also another one of the children in my house is going to be going into foster care on friday,Which is very exciting.  Sad to see both of them leave but hope and pray they are gunna have a much happy life now : )

Glad to say that I finally got to start helping out in the baby houses. Getting to know the children and the House mothers has been very intrusting and fun. After being in the houses and talking with the house mothers  I am feeling very welcome here which is making it easy to adjust.  I will write more later I have a Leach ( Mercy) attached to me whos waiting to play a game. I Love my toys and playing with kids. I watched a movie a last night a i really liked it. Its really  cold  heere.  I really like having Jessica here to play with too.  I love  my movie Bambie.

Well I can say im all moved in and unpacked : ) it feels very nice to finally be able to releax and see this beautiful country.  Today was a very nice and comfy day.  Went to church, which was all in english : ) thank goodness.  I dont think im ever gunna be able to learn this new language : (

We got another lil boy this morning prolly around a year and 2 months so after lunch I went to go see him and then the house mother throw a bottle at me and said go fed go fed so I got to fed the lil ones while the toddlers were sleeping.

After feeding more releaxing came! Sat outside ( with a blanket) and talked to one of the boys how lives behind BG and read a book. Now its time to call it a night and turn a movie on and go to sleep and get up early tomorrow morning and actually start helping in the house.

im glad to say that i made it : )  i just took a tour of BG and now the hard part starts trying to remember everyones names : / ahh ohhhh. I have the rest of the week and weekend to just relax and move in and i will actually start helping out on monday.  But i will keep you all updated all the kiddos are outside for play group so im going to go play with them.
